Highway operator OHL Mexico has completed the phase III-2 section of the federal district's (DF) Circuito Exterior Mexiquense beltway.
The 10km four-lane stretch cost some 1.19bn pesos (US$102mn), the company said in a report to Mexico City's bourse BMV. Work included building 13 overpasses.
The new highway section completes the beltway's 20km phase III section. It will link the phase III-1 Chamapa-Lechería-Vialidad Mexiquense stretch and phase I stretch México-Querétaro-Peñón-Texcoco.
The project will benefit communities in the northeastern part of Mexico state (Edomex).
The company's concessions unit will operate the beltway, which runs 155km along the northeastern zone of the city, through 2040.
OHL Mexico is a subsidiary of Spanish construction firm OHL.
