Peru's private investment promotion agency ProInversión has extended the prequalification deadline for the Yurimaguas-Nueva Reforma fluvial port concession.
The final draft of the contract should be available as of March 3, and potential bidders have until March 6 to present prequalification documents, state news agency Andina reported. The original deadline was February 15.
A shortlist of companies is expected to be announced by March 8.
The Yurimaguas-Nueva Reforma port terminal, located in the country's Loreto region, will require an estimated US$38.9mn investment and will be concessioned for a 30-year period.
Work will include building a new terminal on the Huallaga river in Nueva Reforma district, some 20km downstream from the area's existing port.
