Scania's Latin American bus deliveries up 48% in 2010 (Regional)

Swedish bus and truck manufacturer Scania saw a 48% increase in 2010 bus deliveries in Latin America, with demand in Brazil and Argentina leading the way.

 

The firm delivered 2,104 buses in the region compared with 1,421 in 2009, Scania said in its year-end financial report.

 

Bookings also jumped 53% to 2,358 in 2010 from 1,538 the previous year.

 

The firm reported overall net income of 9.1bn kronor (US$1.42bn) for 2010, compared with 1.13bn kronor in 2009.
