IN BRIEF MOP names Retamal concessions director (Chile)
2011-02-01
Chile's public works ministry (MOP) has named Jaime Retamal as its new concessions director, taking over from Mauricio Gatica.

Gatica was reportedly replaced due to slow progress in implementing a universal electronic toll system on concessioned highways. The former concessions head will continue to work with the ministry as a consultant, according to a MOP release.

Retamal, who currently heads the cabinet of public works minister Hernán de Solminihac, will assume his new position starting February 1. The executive worked for 10 years as general manager of Chilean Universidad Católica's engineering services company Dictuc.
