2011-01-28
Uruguay's Montevideo municipal government has signed an agreement to begin work on the Agraciada Norte public transport corridor, according to a local government release.

The US$18.6mn project is being carried out by consortium Teyma-Incoci, local press reported.

Works will begin on Llupes street, from the Córdoba street intersection, and include building a drainage system, signage and streetlights on connecting roads.

The transport corridor should be completed within 24 months. The project falls under the municipality's urban mobility plan to restructure and modernize transport in the area.
