2010-12-20
Three pre-selected companies have disclosed their offers for Rio Negro province road construction and service firm Viarse's public tender to pave the remaining 44km of Argentina's provincial highway Ruta 8.

The bidding firms are construction company Juan Felipe Gancedo with 159mn pesos (US$40mn), Equimac, with a bid of 168mn pesos, and Contreras Hermanos with 174mn pesos.

The project, which involves paving the stretch between the towns of La Esperanza and Los Menucos, has an official budget of some 110mn pesos, the provincial government's website reported.

Works are expected to take 24 months and include building embankments, stabilizing hard shoulders and other repairs.
