Colombian state power company ISA is one of three firms interested in acquiring Swedish firm Skanska's 50% stake in Chilean highway concessionaire Autopista Central, paper Portafolio reported.
The other firms that have expressed interest are Italy's Atlantia and Spain's Abertis. The latter firm has a preference in the deal, as it currently holds the other 50% of the concessionaire.
Autopista Central, which passes through capital Santiago, has the highest traffic figures and toll revenue in Chile, generating some US$165mn in toll income last year, the paper said.
ISA finalized its acquisition of a 60% stake in highway concessionaire Cintra Chile from Spanish firm Ferrovial in September, BNamericas reported at the time.
ISA paid some 6.82mn UF (inflation-linked units, about US$296mn at the time) for the firm.
