El Salvador's public works, transport, housing and urban development ministry (MOPTVDU) has launched two consultancy tenders aimed at supporting the development of a new mass transport system in capital San Salvador's metropolitan area.
The first tender involves providing legal, financial and technical recommendations to help organize the new mass transport system. The study should be carried out within six months.
The second consultancy involves collecting information and preparing surveys on mass transport in El Salvador. This process is to be completed in three months.
The consultancies contracts will be funded by IDB's multilateral investment fund Fomin and the El Salvadorian government.
