Govt promoting infrastructure concessions in Singapore (Ecuador)
2010-09-24
Ecuador's production, employment and competitiveness coordination (MCPEC) minister Nathalie Cely Suarez is leading a delegation promoting concessioned infrastructure projects in Singapore.

One of the main goals for the mission is to attract private investment to develop multimodal logistics projects in Manta city, located in western Manabi province, state paper El Ciudadano reported.

Transportation and public works (MTOP) minister Maria de los Angeles Duarte and a group of MCPEC logistics specialists met with firms interested in building a port and airport in the city.

Duarte's group reviewed the legal framework and investments proposed for concession projects with firms SARP, PORTEK, ST and CPG, the report said.

The week-long trip to Singapore began September 20.
